Desires

Patience says to “Wait awhile.”
Desire wants all that’s there.
Impatience says, “I just can’t wait!”
Anxiety leads to fear.

Waiting and wanting do not mix.
Just why I’ll tell you so…
For waiting requires a lot of time,
But wanting just says, “Go!”

What is needed here is peace,
A calming of some kind.
Some sort of balance must be met!
But a solution I can’t find.

How can I be patient when I wait?
How do I avoid the fear?
How do I quell the war inside?
I need some answers here!

The answer here is simple.
But the ways are hard to set.
The key to wanting and to waiting,
Is how we receive whichever we get.

Contentment is the key to winning,
Because in it we find…
That whether we want or whether we wait,
We’ll still have peace of mind.

Dawn is beautiful
It brings forth a new day
It brings forth a fresh beginning

Dawn's brightness lights my heart
It's rays seem to blink on and overtake me
No matter how long I've waited and watched for it

Dawn brings me happiness
I don't know why
I guess it's just the miracle of it all

Dawn brings me strength
Though I'm tired and weary
Dawn quickens my body

Dawn is a miracle
Dawn is inspiring
