MY SECRET LOVE

My secret love is sweet to me.

My secret love brings joy.

My secret love is spiritual,

And that’s the best of all!

My secret love is diligent.

My secret love is strong.

My secret love is humble,

And her tears are quick to fall.

I enjoy just having me secret love,
To share our selves within.

But I hope for a day with my secret love,
That day that my secret will end.

Hope

The rains
Have come to cool the land

Each man and woman
Alone must stand

The child, the dog
Must fend for self

No one here
No one left

Bereft of hope
Despair's the dream

All things are dark
No hope it seems

Just where to go
We can not find

We look to left, to right
To up, to down

There's no way out
No help to be found

Alas this dream
Is not despair

Because somewhere
There's hope out there

We must persist
And follow our dreams

We must not die
But strive, it seems

Keep up my friend
Don't give up

Keep hope alive
Keep hope alive

Keep hope alive

Contentment

The quietness
And peace
Of a
Satisfied soul

Wanting
And lacking
Nothing

Having all
That is
Needed

Sufficient
Is every
Possession

And even
Charity
Creates no need

You are
All
That I need

With you
I possess
Everything

You are
All
That I want

With you
I want
For nothing

Your love
Supplies me
With an abundance

Your love
Brings
To me

The quietness
And peace
Of a
Satisfied soul

Yet

Through the years, your face has been tempered by testing, trial and tribulation. Your heart has been stretched, wretched, broken and recovered again. And your spirit has been shaken to its very foundation, as to even threaten your very existence. Yet through all this, your love remains as an oasis in a vast desert and your faith remains as the hidden cistern from which it flows.
