Teddy Bears

Here I sit
Sunshine and rain

A testament
A warning

A witness
To tears

As they fall
Like raindrops

A remembrance
Of life

As it fell
In blood drops

Here I sit
Daylight and darkness

In silent vigil
Standing watch

Over what
No longer stands

Though not alone
Standing still

Over what
No longer moves

There are others
Here like me

There were others
Here before us

There will be
Many more
