Mystery

I dreamt about you once today
A vision clear and new
I’ve dreamt about you once before
And sometimes dreams come true

I dreamt about a dark woman
A woman of mystery
As a shadow in the distant night
Who might this woman be

I awaken from my dream
With the burning question of “Who?”
I was please to find the answer
The mystery is you.

I dreamt about you once today
A vision clear and new
I’ve dreamt about you once before
And sometimes dreams come true.

My Secret Love

My secret love is sweet to me.

My secret love brings joy.

My secret love is spiritual,

And that’s the best of all!

My secret love is diligent.

My secret love is strong.

My secret love is humble,

And her tears are quick to fall.

I enjoy just having me secret love,
To share our selves within.

But I hope for a day with my secret love,
That day that my secret will end.

Masochistic Love Song

Baby baby
Ooh ooh baby
You really love me true

Baby baby
Oh my baby
And truly I love you

The way you treat me's
Like no other
You really do me good

Baby baby
Ooh ooh baby
The way you really should

Take that chain
And beat me baby
Till I beg for more

Take my hands
And smash them honey
In our car's front door

Baby baby
Ooh ooh baby
Knock me to my knees

Baby baby
Oh my baby
Your bullwhip sure does please

Take our truck
Run over me sugar
Now that's a real RV

When you pass
Just come back lover
And spin the tires on me

Drag me down
The freeway mama
At 90 miles or so

Hit the brakes
Ooh I love the feeling
As over the top I go

Baby baby
Those rubdowns baby
Are the best I've ever had

No one is
As good as you are
With those Brillo pads

Baby baby
Oh my baby
You love so tenderly

And when we're done
With our smokes dear
You can put them out on me

Magic

What does magic mean to me?

It means the way you stare,

That graceful way you walk toward me,

The way you wear your hair,

The way your clothes fit, oh just right,

The smoothness of your hand,

The way you hold me, oh so tight,

It’s more than I can stand.

To some magic is slight of hand,

To make some things appear right out of the blue!

But to me magic is more simple…

To me the only magic is you.

Free

It's outrageous
It's contagious
Violence is raging
Killing our nation
People are screaming
Leaders are dreaming
Try to make changes
But evil rearranges
Good people are trying
Good people are dying
Bad men take rule
So don't be a fool
Give God respect
And protect yourself
Always do right
Please don't fight
Right will make might
And darkness will turn to light
So just be strong
It won't be too long
The just one will return
For vengeance he does yearn
Then all things will be straight
It will be worth the wait
Learn to endure
Deliverance is sure and secure
Keep hope alive
It's what we need to survive
And don't forget to pray
It doesn't matter what you say
But most of all serve him
Because he's coming back again
And he's going to take his own
When he travels to his home
To live eternally
Free from evil, really free
Free from evil, really free
Free from evil, really free

Your Love

At times I’m, lost
Without your love
I sway and wander about
Sometimes I starve
Without your love
A hunger I cannot satisfy
Always I’m longing
For your love
A love I can’t live without.

Seasons of Love

Winter storms and Winter rains
Separation brings me pain
Leaving you is hard to do
For my love is true
Hardships come and hardships go
Troubles at every hand
But through years our love has grown
And forever our love will stand
Spring flowers and Spring showers
Blossoms, the angel’s toy
Having you makes my life complete
And loving you brings me joy

1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child
I spoke as a child…
I spoke my mind, albeit untactfully at times
I laughed out loud without embarrassment
I was not afraid to tell you, I love you
I was not ashamed to cry out loud
I was so desperately honest
I always tried to tell the truth
But when I became a man
I put away childish things.

When I Was A Child

When I was a child
I spoke as a child,
Which was usually loud and boisterous.
I usually had many things to say.
That not many people wanted to hear,
Particularly grown ups.
I don’t know why.
I was smart,
I was experienced,
I was authoritative.
I just wanted to be heard.
But no one wanted to listen.
No one seemed to care
About what I had to say.
That’s why I shout!
That’s why I scream!
That’s why I cry out!
That’s why I’m loud!
I must be heard!

The World

The world is a place of horror and shame
A place of war
A place of pain
The world is a place of death and destruction
A place of murder
A place of abduction
The world is a place of trouble and strife
A place of hardship
A place of fights
The world is a place of lying and cheating
A place of hiding
A place of beating
The world:
So vile, so corrupt and so wrong
Has a place where one can hear a glad song
A song that brings hope of a better tomorrow
An end to the tears
An end to the sorrows
A place of real peace
A place of real comfort
That place lies within
Just look for it in all of us.

The Solitary Man

I am a man unto myself
None other like me there be
I am a man all by myself
No help to be I need
I am a man who's on his own
Surviving sure and true
I am a man who's left alone
Striving not to be blue
I am a man who has a heart
A heart that has known pain
I am a man who wants a start
A start at sharing love again
I am a man who's wandering
Who's searching with a plan
I am a man who's on a quest
The quest for that solitary woman

State of Affairs

In our world there is malice.
In our world there are lies.
In our world there is envy.
In our world there are cries.
We run through life fighting each other.
We are constantly defending ourselves from those who would hurt us and use us.
We are all caught up is a struggle where we try to get what the other guy has.
We are always trying to gain the advantage.
In our world there is sadness.
In our world there are tears.
In our world there is madness.
In our world there are fears.
Why do we naturally mistrust strangers?
Why do we see a person’s faults all the time?
Why can’t we just be honest with one another?
Why do we kill only the good leaders—maybe they don’t fit the norm?

Sometimes In Love

In love
I sometimes feel
As is I am a library book.
To be looked at,
Examined,
Used,
Or maybe even checked out.
But
No one ever keeps me,
Cherishes me,
Or calls me their own
For very long.

Sad

Sad is life that ends in death
Sad is work that has no rest
Sad is pleasure that leads to pain
Sad is a sunny day that sets with rain
Sad is peace when it kills the dove
Sad is hate as it smothers love
Sad is hardship with no reward
Sad is to need and not afford
Sad is to desire what cannot be achieved
Sad is condemnation with no reprieve
Sad is to waste while others do lack
Sad is to use while never placing back
Sad is love that is never returned
Sad is satisfaction while others still yearn
Sad is loneliness in a crowded place
Sad is homelessness amidst empty living space

Return To Me

Return to me my melody
Return to me my song
Return to me my heart’s delight
Return to me my love
Caress me with your loving arms
Caress me with your desire
Caress me with your soul afire
Caress me with your heart
In love we shall forever be
In love we’ll grow and live
In love our spirits will soar ever higher
In love we’ll be as one

Reflections Of Love

Seeing you sets my heart afire
And stirs my passions.
You are so lovely.
Your lips are full and smooth,
How desirable they appear to me.
Your eyes,
So clear,
So inviting,
I could gaze into them for a lifetime.
The look and texture of your skin
Makes me feel warm.
Oh how I long to touch it.
I reach out to embrace you…
But you are cold,
You are hard,
You are not real,
You are nothing,
Nothing but an image.
An image reflected on the glass.
An image I cannot have,
I cannot hold,
Nor truly enjoy,
Or love.

Proverbs 16:33

To influence a world that is so vast,
Into the lap the lot is cast.
To manipulate and decisions make,
A destiny of future to perhaps create.
But does chance or luck really exist?
Is life on earth really so hit and miss?
In the ordered world that God has made,
The plan for each destiny is clearly laid.
That turns each little moment into a great feat.
That’s why I’m glad for this “chance” to meet.

Exiled In The Promise Land

Having left everyone
And everything
And every place
That had become dear to me,
I answered the call.
The call of the American Dream.
“Go there young man!” they said.
“Go there and find prosperity!”
“Go there young man, go there!”
“Go to the Promise Land!”
I came,
I saw,
I was disappointed
And saddened.
I found the prosperity
But I also found
The pretentiousness,
The preoccupation with
Pride,
Prestige,
Position,
And politics,
Which is poverty.

The American Dream
Has become a tragedy for all
And a nightmare for some.
The Promise Land
Has become my prison.
The chains of prosperity
Are too heavy for me to bear.
The poverty of prosperity
Is too grievous to tolerate
Or give into.

How I yearn for real honesty,
Real satisfaction,
Fulfillment,
Happiness,
Enjoyment,
Freedom.
Oh how I long to be free!
Oh how I long to be free!

Dreaming

The dreams we dream
Are windows into
The way we want to be
They give us insight and guidance
Into the direction that we should travel
Sometimes we do not listen to our dreams
Because we have been taught that they just aren’t real
So our vision slowly slips away
And we are left behind
Standing
Wandering
And slowly wasting away

Distant Memories

I was thinking of you today
As I sometimes do

Particularly on warm sunny days
With cool breezes

They remind me of us
Having lunch by the ocean

A quiet moment
Stolen from an otherwise busy day

A time to sit alone
And let the wind gently caress or faces
A gentle breeze blowing

As I marvel at the softness of your skin
And become engulfed with passion as you touch me
I tenderly stroke you face with my hand

Your ears
Your ears, around the edges and the lobes

Your neck
Your long neck, in front where it's soft and tender
And in back where it's firm and smooth as it meets you hair

Your hair
Your hair, where it's soft and curly behind your ear

I touch your nose with mine...
I outline its curves and features

And then, we kiss...
Oh how I long to kiss you more.

Daffodils

Daffodils aren’t something new,
Neither is how I love you.

Loving you is all I do,
For my love is true.

Forever more’s a long long time,
That’s how long that you’ll be mine.

Happiness is what we’ll find,
We’ll age with grace as wine.

All The Good Men Died

Why must all the good men die
While tyrants continue to reign
Why must evil men have rest
When good men suffer in pain

Love was why he came to us
With truth right by his side
It was truth that made him enemies
It was love that made him die

Unity was this man's cry
He sought it with every breath
For unity he granted freedom
For freedom he paid with death

Strength did forge his character
Our country's honor was his desire
He was hope for a brighter tomorrow
He was felled by sniper fire

Dreams were this man's fancy
Dreams of dignity and equality
In life his dreams met violence
But in death reality

Renewed hope was what he inspired
When he asked to lead our land
We would rest our future on his shoulders
His was stopped by a gunman's hand

There is no hope for our tomorrow
When only evil is the prize
There is no one to save us from sorrows
Why must all the good men die

A Man's Life

There are times in a man's life
When he must work for what he wants
He must work hard if he is to achieve what he desires

There are times in a man's life
When he must sweat
He must do back breaking labor for little reward

There times in a man's life
When he must suffer
He must endure the pain and injustice of a cruel society

There are times in a man's life
When he must cry
He must grieve when his sorrow burdens him down

There are times in a man's life
When he must stand
He must stand and take charge of his world

There are times in a man's life
When he must love
He must demonstrate the affection and emotion that has nurtured him

At all times in a man's life
He must simply be a man

He must work
He must sweat
He must labor
He must suffer
He must endure
He must cry
He must stand
And he must love
He must love
He must love

Yes, he must love

Time (Part 2)

Time for laughter, time for fun,
Times we had to share.
Precious moments everyone
That now I find so rare.

Time for you I’ll always keep,
With room for still lots more.
With you and me there are no keys,
My heart’s an open door.

It’s time now to go our separate ways,
To spread our wings and fly!
To leave behind our so few days,
It’s time to say good-bye.

As time continues on its march
To times we cannot see.
I hope that deep within our hearts
Our days will ever be.

Time (Part 1)

Time is so important when you have something to do.
It often creeps up on people, sometimes me, sometimes you.

Time is so available unless there’s something on your mind.
Then time is really very hard to find.

There is never enough time for what I want to say or do!
Because there’s never enough time for me to be with you.

The Seedling (John 12:24/I Corinthians 15:36)

Plant a seed, and watch it die.
Mourn for it, and even cry.
Water it, it still won’t grow.
Wait for it, it still doesn’t show.

Seedling’s gone, it’s gone away
Seems never to return.
All your work is done in vain,
Oh how your soul does yearn.

The winds, they blow and sweep the sand.
The sun appears, to scorch the land.
It seems, that as the sands of time do spend,
The seed will never new fruit bring in.

Seedling’s gone, it’s gone away
Seems never to return.
All your work is done in vain,
Oh how your soul does yearn.

But then alas one faithful day
My eyes beheld a sprout at play!
Dancing in the morning breeze,
Dew drops glistening on its newly formed leaves.

Rejoice oh man and dry your eyes
Your seedling has returned anew!
Although it suffered and it died,
It shall bring forth good fruit to you!

Then all at once my eyes did see,
And the truth of the seed was revealed in me.
How can a seed its good fruit give?
It has to die that it might live.

Rejoice oh man and dry your eyes
Your seedling has returned anew!
Although it suffered and it died,
It has brought forth good fruit to you!

The Gift

Life is what you make it
To thine own self be true
Whatsoever you do in life
It shall reflect on you

Spend it wisely
Use it right, each and every day
Live life to the fullest
Each his own way

A human life, a gift from God
To you without any pay
Be thankful you have that precious gift
To live your life today.

The Forest

Sometimes I walk through this forest,
So vast I can not tell.
So dark, as little light does enter
And death lingers in its smell!

The trees are all bent and decaying,
With leaves so blackened with mildew and old.
The still air feels thick and muggy,
But the winds are jagged and cold!

Few animals dare enter this forest,
Except those who rejoice in the dead.
They prowl through the thick mire of the forest…
Seeking some way to be fed!

For men who do enter this forest,
To linger does mean certain doom!
For the beast of the forest will find them,
And they will be theirs to consume.

The beast of the forest are hideous,
Ever stalking; I can feel their cold stares.
Their only goal is to devour me!
Their names are Self-pity, Doubt, Fear and Despair.

As I walk through this morbid forest,
I am suddenly made aware…
That even if I were king of all the Earth
I alone, could not be master here!

Now the darkness grows even thicker in the forest,
As gray clouds begin to cover the sky.
And the air feels even more damper and colder!
And the moon slowly creeps up on high.

The thick mire begins to grab at my ankles!
And my legs intensely ache with each step.
But to rest would mean total destruction!
THE BEASTS!! I can’t stop, no not yet!

Though the cold winds, through the trees, howl “SURRENDER.”
And my so tortured body becomes weak,
I’ll press deeper into this agonizing forest
Because there’s a place of peace here that I seek.

Deep in the middle of the Forest of Sadness
There’s a river of hope and assurance that flows straight through.
Here the beasts and the mire cannot harm me,
It is here that I’ll rest, and wait for you.
