Comfort

Your love
Provides for me
A shelter
A hiding place
From the ravishes
Of this world
A sanctuary
From the onslaught
Of life’s pain
A quiet place
To repose
To heal

Your love
Is as a blanket
A covering of warmth
A protection against
The coldness
Cruelness and
Negativity
That is in the world
A layer of softness
That I can cuddle up to

Your love
Is as
An anchor
A rock
That provides
For me
The stability
And reference
That I need
To give me
Direction
In life

Your love
Is as
A beacon
A guiding light
That leads me
Through the darkness
And dangers
Of the tempestuous
And troubled
Waters of life

Your love
Is as
A spirit
That melds itself
With mine
And holds me
And lets me know
That everything
Is all right
